Notre Dame Show

I was commissioned to design and screen print a poster to promote an exhibition of work by students in the Character Animation department at CalArts. All of the drawings were themed around Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame and a few explored the building itself as a character. I liked that idea and decided to push the type’s legibilitiy as a way to draw the viewer deeper into the image.
